Leonard Moss is the only son of Emanuel and Gisela Moss and sibling to my mother Cheryl Moss-Mellman. Manny and Gisela raised their two children in Whitestone, New York, in the 1960s and 70s. Leonard was born on December 6, 1958 and is three years older than Cheryl. They attended public school together and went to the same college called SUNY Stony Brook University in upstate New York. The siblings both became medical doctors. Leonard is a Cardiologist and Cheryl is an Internist and breast specialist. Today, Leonard lives in Morristown, New Jersey, with his wife Ilene, a pediatric physician and their two daughters Rachel and Arielle. Rachel is attending Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania and Arielle is in high school. In this video Leonard describes what his childhood was like being raised by two Holocaust survivors. He also speaks about what Jewish faith and traditions mean to him.
